You Need Something to Go With Your Margaritas

April 23, 2009 by

How do you like your margaritas?

Frozen ... rocks?

Salt ... no salt?

Maybe a little orange juice thrown in for kicks...

And how about your margarita pairing?

I find a margarita pairs nicely with a salty tortilla chip and some kind of dip.

I'm a rocks, salt kind of girl.  And absolutely love a good guacamole or a spicy queso with my margaritas.

And since avocados are in season and super cheap right now, let's take advantage of them!

What I love about guacamole is you can totally make it your own.  I've given you the base recipe below, but feel free to experiment!

Add a little cilantro and some extra lime for a fresh island flavor.  Add some chopped jalepenos if you'd like it spicy.  Or even add some extra tomatoes for a little more color and texture.

So go ahead and whip up a batch of fresh margaritas.  You have the perfect recipe for guacamole that will give you something to snack on while you sip.
Until our next meal,

Rebecca
